1.
Cry me a river, Under the stars, Stars are forever, But I know who you are. But I cannot have you, I scream from afar, In the cold light of morning, I know who you are. Pain is for pleasure, For life you must pay, Steal all the treasure, And dance on the way. But I cannot have you, I scream from afar, In the cold light of morning, I know who you are. I know who you are. So cry me a river, Under the stars, Scars are for ever, But I know who you are. But I cannot have you, I scream from afar, In the cold light of morning, I know who you are.

There are times, when I wish you’d go away. Don’t want to hear your voice ever again. You’re talking shit and you don’t know how to think. You think you’re right, but you’re only trying to win. Say that your kind, It’s all in your mind, Told you once, told you twice, You’re a lie. Say that you kind, It’s all in your mind, Told you once, told you twice, You’re a lie. You’re trying hard, but religion gets in your way. I don’t think I can last another day, Shut up, before I strangle your words away, You’re not happy and I’m the one who has to pay. Say that your kind, It’s all in your mind, Told you once, told you twice, You’re a lie. Say that you kind, It’s all in your mind, Told you once, told you twice, You’re a lie. It ain’t wise to lie to me. You are done if you lie to me, You’re gonna die if you lie to me, It ain’t wise to lie.
3.
There’s writing on the wall, I’ve seen it all before, Now I hear you want me, Want me for evermore, I giving you everything, You were taking everything, You wanted more and more, It chills me when you want me, Want me for evermore. Want me for evermore. So I keep in asking you, What’s my name? Yes I keep on asking you? What’s my name? Sadness everyday, Hearing you call me ‘babe’, You don’t really know me, You want me to come away, I’ve seen it all before, You were giving it more and more, Breathing hard and I want you, Want you for evermore. Want me for evermore. So I keep in asking you, What’s my name? Yes I keep on asking you? What’s my name? What’s my name?
4.
Choices, you had a few, You won’t be told by anyone, You won’t be told what to do, Cause you have feelings, To show you the way, They make you kind of ‘healthy’, And I really have to say, If it goes wrong there’s only you to take the blame, And in this life, you can learn without the pain. Shane, hear what I say, I’ve felt this way before And I’ve got so much to say. Hey, hear what I say, I can save you years of pain, If you’d only put, put you pride away. People, can tell you you’re wrong, You don’t know what they’re saying, They’ve never had to fight this long. You’re like a spirit locked in a cage, And I am the key, my love. I need you to fly away. If it goes wrong there’s only you to take the blame, But in this life you can learn without the pain. Shane, hear what I say, I’ve walked this path before And I’ve got so much to say. Hey, hear what I say, I can save you years of pain, If you’d only put, put you pride away
5.
I am a lily alone boy, And I want you to need me too. And if I give it all up girl, Will you need me like I need you? And so I give up my flesh as I grind on the video, Rocking in my underwear You see me wet as I grind as I grind on the video, Rocking on a pole. Can you hear me? Rocking in your bed, on your stereo? Sliding down a pole? Can you hear me? Rocking in your bed, on your stereo? Can you hear me? And did I get you in the middle o your eye, When I walked onto the screen in the corner of your room? Can you hear me? And if I’m giving it a little baby cry, I’m a woman to the core as I strip it to the bone. Can you hear me? And do you like the way the camera does my thighs, As I shake it for the lens and I ram the picture home? And if I’m giving it a little slutty sigh, I’m a daughter to the core and a Christian to the bone. Can you hear me? Rocking in your bed, on your stereo? Sliding down a pole? Can you hear me? Rocking in your bed, on your stereo? And so I give up my flesh as I grind on the video, As naked as they dare to show, But I wear a little top on the kiddie show, But I’m still rocking on a pole… Can you hear me? Rocking in your bed, on your stereo? Sliding down a pole? Can you hear me? Rocking in your bed, on your stereo? And if I seem insecure, boy, It’s cos I see me through your eyes. And if I crawl across the floor, It will help you to want me.

Desire, can’t let us think, Hold me tight, against the cold, cold wind, Pick up my magpie as the flame flickers out, This is the last time, You’ll have to scream and shout. All the sinners, and all the saints. Come to me. All the swingers and all the beasts. Come. Denial, Can do so much harm. Time to give up, even thunder has it’s calm. The pregnant river will wash your sins clean. We are just atoms in her chaotic stream. All the sinners, and all the saints. Come to me. All the swingers and all the beasts. Come. Oh my god, the reflection is a mirror of your mind. Could the way be human or just a shadow left behind. All the sinners, and all the saints. Come to me. All the swingers and all the beasts. Come.
7.
The shadow’s shroud has kissed you, I see the hourglass flowing in your eyes, When you are gone, I will kiss you, Reminding you of the one’s you leave behind. You’re cold to the touch, Your eyes they close. There whole days now I long to feel you touch, I never wanted this, you, this much. Trying to see your face but the pictures fade away. I will always love you til the day I pass away. You’re cold to the touch, Only our passion remains I love you so much But it wasn’t enough. I will not let you pass me, Leave nothing to this world, We’ve known each other since I was a girl, And now I stand before you as a woman of the world Cold to the touch Your soul flows, You’re cold to the touch, Only the vessel remains, I love you so much, But it wasn’t enough. Stay. Don’t fade away. Stay. Don’t fade away.

about

Sometime in the early 2000's, the women of Rockbitch decided to move to the USA.

They had stopped playing music in a state of bitter disappointment after a relentless and underhand campaign of sabotage and hostility to their live gigs as the band Rockbitch. They had truly thought that their politics would be understood, that the extremes they went to onstage were so unneccesary, particularly when coupled with such obvious musicianship and skills - that people would question, well, WHY do they do what they do? That they would listen to the lyrics, hear the message, view the video screens with footage relevant to each song shown at gigs, and, essentially, get it.

The public did get it. The press also got it - but fair reporting doesn't sell a newspaper, and the media, on the whole, chose the path of establishment outrage coupled with downright lies. Journalists who wrote accurate copy were told to change their articles.

And Rockbitch were indeed understood by the authorities as being dangerous anarchists, to the extent that illegal methods were used against them. Including numerous fake bomb scare at their events - venue owners being constantly threatened with the loss of their licences if they allowed the band to perform, despite Rockbitch never breaking any law whatsoever and always keeping shows to age 18 only. Riot police in full battle gear with shields and automatic weapons barricading the stage to prevent the band taking to it, even to play a completely 'clean' show. Phone tapping and surveillance and more - you wouldn't believe it and few today know or do.

Paranoid? Only if they are not actually watching you.

A couple of years after quitting Rockbitch, they realised the obvious - that they were musicians to the core and genuinely could not stop creating. The community response was to create a new band, call it MT-TV, (very tongue in cheek) and bugger off to the USA with a clear slate.

MT-TV, or Empty-TV, the spelling varied - were still very feminist and political, still with occult lyrics and potent messages, and with a stage show that was provoking rather than provocative. Three of the community members became the group within a group called "the Stereotypes': a white girl; Bunny, an Indian girl: Kali and a black girl: Erzulie. They were the backing vocalists and performance artists who expressed the bands lyrics and song subject matter.

The latter two kept the names they had used in Rockbitch - after the goddesses and culture they found inspirational. Bunny, as a blonde, expressed the iconographic bimbo stereotype - which was always considered a positive one by the commune women.

MT-TV travelled up and down the East coast from New York to Panama City, and this was the album of that period. There were a couple of other mini albums, all of which were sold at gigs only, not through a record or distribution company, and a DVD called Shevolution. The image shown here is actually the cover for that DVD, as Babe particularly likes it! The two mini albums were called East/West, and North/South, and were expressing the cross country travels & experiences of the time. Included were a mini documentaries of the bands experiences in the USA, called' The American Dream.

All of the community's music, their videos, documentaries have always been shot and edited in house by the community themselves. The vast majority of their merchandise and album covers were created by Babe, as were all the websites for each band.

The community actually had owned land in the USA for many years and had intended to relocate the permanently. After about three years it was apparent to them that they were European to the core and simply not comfortable as pagans in such a deeply religious country, and returned, settling eventually in the UK.
